Founded in Amman in 1990, the Environmental Laboratory was the first private laboratory in Jordan specializing in Food Analysis. Dr. Abdel Qader Samara and his wife, Mrs. Khawla Musa, recognized the need to introduce food safety and quality control to the Jordanian food sector, which was not commonly practiced 35 years ago. Their vision was driven by a deep commitment to ensure that every household in Jordan had access to safe and high-quality food.

Initially, the laboratory focused solely on food microbiology and food chemistry tests (nutrient facts tests). As the Jordanian food market grew, the laboratory gained recognition in Jordan and neighboring countries, particularly for exporting Jordanian goods. Our reputation for excellence has been built on decades of rigorous testing and a relentless pursuit of quality.

After the passing of Dr. Abdel Qader Samara, his daughters took over the family business with the same passion and determination. They aimed to advance the laboratory to new heights. With Dr. Sondos Samara joining the team, the Quality Control department was established. Holding a Master's degree from London University, she expanded the laboratory by starting an instrumental lab, offering a wide range of new tests targeting pharmaceutical companies in Jordan and the region.

In addition to our traditional services, we have introduced various other tests, such as those for cosmetics, agriculture, soil, and water analysis. Our diverse range of tests is tailored to meet our clients' unique needs, ensuring that we provide comprehensive and reliable results.
